Winner: Comment #21!
So the month of October has started. Halloween is at the end of the month, followed by Thanksgiving and the wonderful holidays of December. It may seem like the holidays are still a few months away but before you know it, it will creep up sooner than you think! The worst part of the holidays for me is that I always seem to procrastinate on writing holiday cards. I end up scribbling something generic just to get them sent out – but not this year. This year I’ve made the personal goal to pick out, spend more time writing up cards and mailing them out in time. To help folks prepare well ahead, the lovely folks of Tiny Prints are ready to share their newest holiday cards for the season! Check out their website for all the cute cards and use the filters on the left side of their site to narrow down your selection.

Although we’re just getting into mid-October, I want to make sure I have enough time to choose the perfect cards/invitations, write them up and send. I’ve found the best way to write up holiday cards is to do a few every day up until the week before Thanksgiving. And when they’re all done, I mail them out the week of Thanksgiving. So now is the time to start thinking about holiday cards and invitations. Yes, in early October! Thanks to my friends at Tiny Prints, they will be sponsoring this week’s Sunday Fun Day Giveaway. A lucky reader will receive 50 holiday cards or holiday invitations of their choice. Will you be that lucky reader that sends out the cutest holiday cards or holiday party invites to family and friends this season?! Read on for more details…
One winner will be randomly chosen by Random.Org’s Interger Generator based on the number of your comment and will be announced on Sunday, October 16, 2011, within next week’s Sunday Fun Day Giveaway. Good luck!
I usually tape them around our kitchen door frame but i'd like to hang them from ribbon this year.
My grandma used to decorate her refrigerator with her christmas cards so thats what I do!
What a great giveaway. I love tinyprints. I display our cards on a cute card holder that sits on our foyer table.
We tape them to the wall in the stair entryway so that we get to see them every time we come home!
We have two mantels where all our cards go.
Thanks!!
I usually just stick them on the fridge, so I need a more creative way to display them.
I put mine up on my bookcase.
We tape the back of holiday cards (overlapping them abit) just under an open archway. That way family and friends can see the "decorations" while passing through the living room into the kitchen.
I put my Christmas cards all up on a bulletin board in my room 🙂
We used to display them on our media center in our old apartment. With our new house this year, we'll probably put them on the fireplace mantel or maybe string them up across the doorway. I'm so excited!
We tape our holiday cards up on a wall in our living room near our stockings.
I display them on our mantle, on top of furniture, on the refrigerator…wherever there is space!
I'm pretty unoriginal. Ours go on our fridge. 🙂
We used to put them on the fridge but we have a stainless now so nothing sticks! We use our kitchen island counter instead.
Each year we buy a big piece of garland drape it across our fireplace mantel. As our holiday cards come in from our friends and family we have our three year old attach them to the garland.
i place them on my fireplace mantle and string some on a ribbon draped across the mantle.
I tape them up on our basement door, which leads out of our living room. I love seeing them every chance I get!
Last year we put them on a long half wall that separated our kitchen and living room but we've moved so that is no longer an option. I'm hoping to come up with a nifty idea of stringing them either across our mantle or along a wall in the house where they can be seen when you walk by.
We display them on our back console and then once we receive too many they go in a holiday basket!
I'll be honest, they usually sit in a basket for people to read! I've used Tiny Prints for both of my kids birth announcements and have loved them!
We put them all along the fireplace. I love when it gets so full!
I punch holes in the cards and hang them from a garland with little red and white ribbons – it's easy to see the cards and adds color to the room 🙂
We have a shelf in the entryway where they sit.
The regular cards sit in a basket on our kitchen counter for people to flip through. All the photo cards are put on the front of our fridge and stay there until the next year when we start to get new photo cards. It's a great way to see our friends' and family's smiling faces year round.
We always tape them to the back of our front door. It makes a wonderful decoration!
We put them all over the mantel.
on the fireplace mantel
taped around sliding glass door
Well, I have no fireplace, so no mantle to put them on. Instead, we tape them all to the back of the front door. It's nice to see on your way out.
The very prettiest cards are kept for the next year and used to decorate the "Christmas display" on the bookshelf– just some little arrangements of cute decorations we've collected over the years.
It actually varies from year to year, sometimes on our bookshelves, sometimes on our main wall board in the kitchen and sometimes on the backs of doors in our main area to make it more festive!
I don't have a lot of space in my house, so I tape them on the back of my front door with scotch tape.
I love to post them around a doorway! My family always has a running joke with the first people who get theirs out
I place them on the fireplace mantle.
I swag a red ribbon across our mantle and attach cards with clothes pins.
We haven't found a good way to display them yet. Last year we tacked them to a corkboard. This year I'm going to try something with clothespins….
We hang ours in the doorway between the kitchen and dining room – just like my mom always did!
I put them any where and every where! Around the doorway to the kitchen, on the buffet table, hanging from the bar. I love Christmas cards and think they add to the decor during the holidays!
They displayed on our fridge 🙂 Someday, I hope to have a fireplace where we can display them!
Anna
We tape them to the back of the front door – I don't know why we do this but we always have.
I punch a hole in the top and tie a string and hang them from the tree.
