Joel will be spending time with his dad for Father’s Day weekend while I’ll be working in the kitchen once again. There really is nothing earth shattering about this recipe. There probably isn’t even in need of sharing a recipe because it’s just that easy. But even though its one of those things everyone may have heard of, rice crispie treats most likely will get you to smile. I loved making these with Joel and I think I even channeled The Baron’s inner child when I saw him grab one [or two, maybe even three] the day I made these. But recipe aside, just the fact of making these for my boys and them helping me out in the kitchen is reason enough to smile. Hope you have a wonderul Father’s Day weekend with loved ones and remembering those paternal loved ones that have passed on too. 🙂
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
