Ingredients
500g fish fillets, deboned and chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the fish fillets, onion, parsley, flour, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.
Shape the mixture into small balls using your hands. The size is up to you.
Heat a large pan on medium heat and add a little oil. Fry the fishballs in batches, stirring regularly, until golden brown and cooked through (about 5 to 8 minutes).
Drain the cooked fishballs on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve the fishballs hot with your favorite sauce or a salad.
Notes
Make sure to cook the fishballs all the way through before serving. Check the color and texture of the balls to ensure that they’re cooked through.
Feel free to customize this recipe to your taste. Add spices like paprika or cumin, finely chopped herbs, or even vegetables like minced carrot or bell pepper. Just make sure to adjust the amount of flour, breadcrumbs, or egg as needed.
