Shake ‘N Bake Chicken

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, bone-in and skin-on
1 packet of Shake ‘N Bake chicken coating mix
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400Ā°F (200Ā°C).
If you’re using additional seasoning, like smoked paprika and garlic powder, mix these with your Shake ‘N Bake coating mix in a bag.
Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken to lightly coat it, ensuring the Shake ‘N Bake mixture will adhere properly.
Place one chicken breast at a time into the bag with the Shake ‘N Bake mixture. Seal the bag and shake well until the chicken is evenly coated.
Repeat the process with each chicken breast.
Arrange the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack to allow even cooking.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165Ā°F (74Ā°C), as measured by a meat thermometer.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute for moist and flavorful meat.

Notes

Check the chicken’s doneness by inserting a thermometer into the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone.
For an extra crunch, you can add a light spritz of cooking oil over the coated chicken before baking.
