Easy Pasta With Broccoli Recipe

Pasta with Broccoli is a healthy and an easy-to-make dish.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes


  • 350 grams of dried short pasta

  • One cup of shredded cheese

  • Two big broccoli heads

  • Two tablespoons of lemon juice

  • Two teaspoons of lemon zest

  • 1/3 cup of grated parmesan

  • One teaspoon of dried and mixed herbs

  • Two cloves of garlic

  • Five tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

  • Half a teaspoon of red pepper flakes

  • Half a teaspoon of pepper

  • ¾ teaspoon of salt

  • One teaspoon of sugar


  1. Take a large pot of water and bring it to a boil with two teaspoons of salt, and add the pasta.
  2. As the pasta is cooking, you can chop the broccoli into small florets.
  3. Then, add broccoli to water for one or two minutes before your pasta is completely cooked.
  4. Place all ingredients except the pasta, shredded cheese, and broccoli inside a jar with a lid.
  5. Turn off the heat on the pasta, and take out one cup of water to save it for later. Then, drain the remaining water and return the pasta to the same pot.
  6. Add the cheese and the sauce ingredients in the jar into the pot.
  7. Stir everything together, and you can also add the pasta water if the sauce is too thick. You can also add more salt and pepper if you want.
  8. Finally, serve the pasta and garnish it with some grated parmesan.
