Fire Roasted Tomatoes Recipe

Tomatoes are used in many dishes, such as pizzas, burgers, and much more. The best part about this ingredient is you can prepare it using various ways to enhance the flavor of your dish. This is why you should consider making fire roasted tomatoes at home.

Ingredients

  • Roma tomatoes – 2 pounds
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsps
  • Minced garlic – 2 cloves
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Chopped rosemary – 2 tsp
  • Chopped basil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash your tomatoes and cut them into small halves.
  2. Take a medium bowl and add olive oil to it.
  3. Add minced garlic, black pepper, and chopped rosemary with the basil to the bowl.
  4. Finally, add salt for seasoning.
  5. Take a clean spoon and mix all the ingredients in the bowl.
  6. Add the tomatoes to the bowl, then use a plastic spatula to mix the vegetable in the oil mixture.
  7. Preheat your oven to a temperature of 450°F and line your baking tray with parchment paper.
  8. Transfer the pieces of tomatoes to the baking tray and be sure to leave some gap between each piece.
  9. Place the tray in your preheated oven and cook them for about 25 minutes.
  10. Once the time is up, transfer the tomatoes to the plate using a palette knife or other tool.
