How To Make Green Been Casserole Crock Pot

Green Bean Casserole is a very healthy yet delicious dish.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes

  • 2432 oz fresh green beans (*see notes)

  • 3 Tablespoons butter

  • 8 oz cremini or baby bella mushrooms, quartered

  • 1 small onion, halved and thinly sliced

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup milk (non-fat or whole)

  • 1 cup plain, non-fat greek yogurt or sour cream

  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • Ground black pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 (6 oz) can of French fried onions

  1. Preheat the oven: You should preheat the oven to about 350°F.
  2. Add the mushroom cream sauce, milk, and pepper to the baking dish. Add the green beans and part of the French-fried onions to the mixture and stir.
  3. Bake this mixture until it is hot. Don’t forget to stir. Add more French-fried onions to this mixture. Bake it until the onions are golden brown.
  4. You may double the quantity of black pepper used depending on how spicy you want it to be or how many people want to partake in it.
  5. Use all of the crispy french fried onions. You should continue until the dish is heated through. When using fresh beans, you must ensure that you cook the beans first to remove moisture.
