Knock You Out Brownies

1 pkg German choc cake mix
1 can evaporated milk divided
1 cup nuts
1 stick butter, melted
60 Caramel morsels (1 bag indiv. caramels unwrapped)
1 cup semi-sweet choc chips
Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 13x9x2 ceramic or glass pan.
Mix cake mix w/ 1/3 cup evap. milk, nuts, and melted butter in large mixing bowl.
Transfer half of batter mixture into prepared pan and press into the bottom. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove.
Melt caramels w/remaining evap milk in microwave.
Pour caramel sauce over baked bottom half of brownies. Let caramel harden for 2-3 minutes.
Put remaining batter on top in thinly pieces or sections. (batter will bake together). Bake for 28 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting.
